guy wire pulled from soffit


Hi guys from wed's storm here in MN my pine fell on the pole to pole wires moving the mast so much it ripped the guy wire out of my house. I know i'm responsible but can i just goto menards get a larger lag bolt? After the power company has disconnected power of coarse.

Uffda! Thanks for the pix of the mayhem. They make you maintain the guy wire? That is part of the power company's hardware in my neighborhood. Also the power company guys are friendly here, and sometimes they will give you a spare part, if you ask them nicely when they come to take the tree off the lines.

I'm going by what customer service said, I'm working from home the next few days waiting for the inspector to show up and i'll get a true assessment from him. I'm hoping they will take care of it or i can slip him a 50 and look the other way.
