Grounding Rod Clamp Installation

I recently had some siding work done on my garage and the ground wire from the switch panel was disconnected from the ground rod outside and I need to re-connect it. I can purchase a new clamp but the question is do I need to turn the main breaker off in the electrical panel before attempting to re-attach the ground wire to the ground rod on the outside (not inside the panel).

Is there anything else that I should consider before making this repair???

Thanks!!!

Just go to a electrical supply store or Home Depot or Lowes and get a ground rod clamp commonly called acron clamp. You don't have to turn off your power or anything on the panel. Just attach the wire with the clamp and your all set
