Grounding amp in car

I'm grounding my amp to the frame of my truck. I was wondering if its ok to have my ground screw/terminal directly under the carpet. Not the regular carpet, the thicker underlining carpet between the actual carpet and frame. Maybe throw a couple layers of electrical tape on top?

Under the carpet, that's called a carpet pad....

It's fine. I wouldn't even worry about the electrical tape.

Not a problem. It's usually easiest to ground to one of the seat or seatbelt bolts, though.
