Ground an Neutral to Neutral bar?

Hello

Task: Feeding subpanel from main meter socket panel using 4 wire SER cable.

Question: If the main meter socket panel only has one bar (like shown on attached illustration), can the ground and neutral wire of the feeder cable running to the sub panel be connected to the same bar or will I have to buy a meter socket panel that has separate Ground and Neutral bars?

To give you the answer as far if you have all in one meter box which you posted the photo the SER Cable the netural and ground can be on the same bussbar due this is a service entrance and a main disconnecting means so once you go to the subpanel after the main panel like all in one or conventail main panel(s) the ground and netural will have to be seperated.

That the only time the ground and netural will be tied together is the main service disconnect after that all the netural and ground is seperated.

In a panel which is the service equipment (first disconnect), the neutral and ground must be bonded together. Since they are bonded at that location, there is no need to have a separate isolated neutral bar. Standard practice is to mix branch circuit grounds and neutrals on the same bar. Most panels are listed for up to 2 grounding conductors in each terminal hole, but each neutral must be in a hole by itself.
