ground bathroom outlet


old 2 wire, can i ground my bathroom outlet with a ground wire from my ac air handler about 8ft away

No. There are very few ways to do this other than running a new wire to the panel.

A GFI receptacle is a legal and safe way to replace the receptacle though.

No. They work without an equipment ground, and they are a legal replacement for a two-prong receptacle. You should place the included sticker that comes with the GFI stating "No ground".

some of the old wiring does have a ground.check to be sure.
