Ground

Doing some bath remodel and noticed that there is a copper braided wire attached to the galvanized pipe in the attic.

Going to be removing the galvanize and replace with cpvc.

Outside by the box is a grounding wire to the ground.

Can I safely delete the one on the galvanized pipe?

Ground

See where it was used for. Might be for a grounding point for a circuit, which was permitted at one time.

Ground

Very possible because the house was recently re wired so it could be the old ground.
