Question

Greenhouse

I'm looking at getting a 15 amp cicuit out to a greenhouse for light duty needs, no heaters, big fans, etc.

The poly covered structure is approx. 75ft away from the house and I was wondering if I need to install a sub-panel and what size wire I would need to use for this run distance.

I'm assuming wire would have to be buried in conduit and GFI protected?

Thank You

I'm not sure on codes up there
Here you can use direct burial wire at 12" if GFCI protected before it goes into the ground
Otherwise I think its 18"
Conduit protects the wire better & allows you to run new wire if there is a problem

I'd run #12 wire & use a 20a breaker
Costs are about the same & that way you have the power if needed
And voltage drop will be less on lower loads
