I installed these Leviton home depot grade switches throughout my house when I bought it 14 years ago. They are starting to degrade, the lever is loose on many and I'm probably going to replace them. Any suggestions for a good quality switch to put in their stead? Internet purchase is fine if they are not available locally.
I have found money is not always the indicator of good vs not so good. I have the 39 cent ones throughout the house and have never had one fail. But, if you want to spend more money, have at it. They sell commercial grade devices at the big orange and blue.
Commercial switches are beefier but also require more force to actuate the toggle. I would buy one and have the other family members try it before changing them out.
Have you considered Decora switches. Women love the illuminated switches, especially in the bathroom.
