Going to take a break

Well I think I am fast approaching 'burn out" after 6 years on various forums. So I think I need to go fishing for awhile... I hope I have been at least helpful and I apologize for my testy moments, any unfair comments and general stupidity at times.

And most recently an apology is in order for user KAYJAY he was not who I thought he was (long story). NOT one of my best moments.

Anyway I'm thinking about posting drawings that I have made over all these years assisting DIY so a feedback would be in order if that would be something the forum would be interested in.

I might do this as an album and provide the link. Just have to decide.

Before you take off fishing, look at this link of a nice fish I caught a couple of weekends ago.

Have fun, and see you around soon!

Post the pix., You do such a great job with them, I would hate to think we couldn't access them when needed.

Thanks for all your knowledgeable input, and hurry back.

Man I sure hate to see you go Stubbie. You've been one of the MAJOR contributors to this site, and especially to the electrical subforum. I think most of us can safely say that we've learned a thing or two from you along the way, and I'm 100% certain that you've saved a number of people from really causing harm to themselves or their homes. Thank you for all you've done for so many people.

Hoping to don't stay gone too long! Good fishing sir!

People do things in 7 year cycles: you have a year to go.

Well before I leave I'm going to make a few albums with many of my drawings and some others off public sites. I'll provide links. You will be able to copy them. I made them specifically in response to questions on different forums...so they will not necessarily be the best design. Feel free to use them or change them to your liking if you want. I'll check them for errors but one might slip by me.... This will take some time so give me a few days.

As to all the electricians, inspectors and moderators (men and women) here .. you guys were a honor to share this forum with.... I probably acted like a 'know it all' at times but in reality I'm just a common tradesman and put my pants on just like the rest of you. I learned a lot from all of you.

Hopefully I'll refuel and be back but I need a little down time.

JBfan that is one nice fish...I'm going to do my best to get one like that....

A grateful Stubbie

BTW my user name stubbie was given to me by my co-workers when I cut 1/2 of my right thumb off in a incident at home. They called me that for 20 or so years.

We'll miss you Stubbie; You possess a very good knowledge base, and you have a way with words that I'm envious of.

Best of luck to you, and I'll be looking forward to your eventual return.

...OOOOHHH! I was just about to make a comment in the opposite direction. Namely. That Stubby (You're also a member in the same club) is one of the Six Professional (Electrical) posters that I look for when I come on line... I certainly will miss his comments very much!
