GFI will not reset will line is hot


thanks for the input Williswires... I did like you suggested. I disconnected the load and the GFI set with only the line. From there, I checked each box until I found the switch to the lights, the black wire had a worn spot that somehow bared the wire and was shorting. A bit of Electrical tape and all is working well. Thanks to all... I learned something valuable. There was also a short How To on the intranet on GFI and it had a great suggestion as well. Once you connect your hot wires to the GFI, place a piece of electrical tape over the connections to prevent any accidental/incidental contact.
