GFI to Timer Switch
I have a GFI plug that I want to run off of a timer. On one end of the plug it reads line with one side for hot and one for white. On the other end it reads load with one side hot and on side white. The timer switch has two wires. It's a 125VAC/60Hz 20A Resistive. I tried to wire it like a switch but it kept popping the GFI.
I have heard that some of the newer GFI's trip when power is turned off, or restored (I forget when it actually happens).
The GFI wouldn't be tripping due to the timer unless you have it wired to the load side of the GFI.
It would also help us if post the make and model of the timer.
