GFI protection

Setting is an old house, containing some circuits without a grounding conductor. Now, there are several options to provide gfi protection, but have you ever seen the circuits protected by a gfi plug at the panel. There are about 6 gfi plugs protecting 6 circuits (fed from the panel, then to the circuits).

They did it this way to avoid having to buy expensive gfi breakers, or having to waste time tracing the 6 circuits throughout the house to discover everything that was on them.

What would you think of this installation?

Fine by me. This way you know where the gfis are when they trip.

Very smart, and cost effective.
