GFI Plug

We have a remodeled house and in the garage they have a GFI plug on the first plug of a series of plugs, when we got home today it was tripped, i reset it fine and everything else in the series of plugs are working but the GFI is not. Now the garage door isnt working properly either, it came up fine but now will not go down just clicks, not like the click when something blocks the eye because the lights flash to and this time they are not flashing. Any ideas?

I would have to say then, that it is your Garage Door opener causing the problem, due to you can not reset the gfci. Try unplugging the opener and see if the gfci will stay on.
