GFI outlet keeps tripping

Hi There,
I'm a home improvement novice at best so pardon the what might be simple question. I have an outlet that only has a microwave plugged in that keeps tripping. I assumed at first it was caused by the microwave since it was quite old. I replaced it and the new microwave causes the same issue. It will be fine for a few hours then out of nowhere just trips. The only other items plugged in (different outlets) in the kitchen are the stove and fridge. No issues w/them. Any help is appreciated.

GFI outlet keeps tripping

It could be a bad GFCI, or bad wiring somewhere, or there might be something plugged in to an outlet downstream of the GFCI that has a problem.

For a start, trip the GFCI with the test button and see what other outlets in the house lose power, if any.
