GFI Headache

New GFI (15 year old old quit working, assumed it wore out) New one resets for brief second then goes off. No indicator light

GFI Headache

How is it connected? Does it have any downstream devices connected to the load terminals? If so, there may actually be a ground fault downstream that is tripping it. Alternatively, you may have the line connected to the load terminals, which will prevent the GFI from resetting (as a safety feature).
