GFI gone bad.


I think the GFI in my kitchen has gone bad. There is power going in, but both recepticals are dead. and the GFI after it is also dead. We tried the switch but that didn't do anything.

Yes, they do go bad. If it won't reset, replace it.

Sounds to me like you may have lost the neutral. If the other GFI won't work and these may be part of an MWBC.

Are you checking for power with a non-contact voltage tester?
