GFCI receptacle HISSING

I have a GFCI receptacle when plugged in would give a HISSING noise for about 15-20 seconds then go quiet afterwards.

Any idea what it could be?

GFCI receptacle HISSING

Loose connection or faulty GFCI. Don't use it until you figure out the problem.
Do you want it your way or the right way?
