GFCI Outlet on 20A garage circuit

So I'm adding a new circuit in my garage. It will be three outlet's daisy chained from a 20A breaker. The first one on the chain will be GFCI and the other two 15A receptacles will be chained off the load side of that GFCI outlet. My question is does that GFCI receptacle have to be a 15A GFCI receptacle with a 20A pass through or does it need to actually be a 20A GFCI receptacle?
