Gfci kitchen counter

The gfci on kitchen counter top is working, but the 2 outlets on the island do not work. The outlets on the counter all work. Can the gfci be faulty? The gfci does work the island outlets, I know from previous work I did. Should I replace gfci? Thanks for any advice. Frank.

How many GFI's are on the counter...not GFI protected receptacles, actual GFI's?

Gfci kitchen counter

I wouldn't suspect the GFI is bad if the other counter recepts are protected by the single GFI and working.

That is what I thought. I will check the 2 outlets on the island. Thanks.

There should be at least two "small appliance" circuits
with each protected by their own GFCI device.
