gfci feed for a 3-speed fan switch


how can i trouble shoot this problem: when fan switch is turned on, it trips the gfci and won't reset?

do you mean a gfci outlet>>

is the neutral from the fan connected separate from the ground wire and connected to the gfci on load side??you have a leakage from the hot to the ground somehow
also the gfci may be faulty
