Getting a new 200A breaker panel Any brand better than other? GE? Siemens?

My breaker panel is being replaced with a 200A panel. I noticed 3 different brands and I was wondering if any brand performed better than the others including breakers? The brands are GE, Siemens, and Homeline/Square D. Any info would be appreciated.

The brands you mentioned are all good quality panels. I have all three. (don't ask why). They all work great.

I would suggest that you look at the features of comparable panels and see which one has what will work best for your situation. They may look identical, but there will be minor differences.

I've noticed that knockout locations seem to vary making some configurations difficult. You might want to consider that if you're ever planning to expand into a sub-panel.

There are likely good-better-best in panels just as in other items.

Some have thicker steel cabinets, galvanized or just painted, better doors, copper buss vs aluminum. Electricians would want one that is laid out the best for their work. I like those that have neutral and ground bus bars easily accessible. In a previous home I lived, the panel had the ground / neutral bus in a very awkward place in the box compared to the breakers. I think it was one of those old Sears boxes.
Did you ever stop to think, then forget to start again?

You are going to get a host of answers here. Every electrician (including myself) have their preferences. I like Square D QO breakers, but I don't love the panels. I like Siemens panels, but not the breakers. But Square D homeline is one that not a lot of people like. The brands that you mention are all fine for residential applications.
