Generator Main breaker

I have a B&S 4000 watt pro series generator. The main breaker trips as soon as I start the generator(not under any load at all). I bought and replaced the main breaker with genuine B&S parts. This did not correct the problem. While apart I checked the current and had a steady 240v. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

If your main breaker on the genrator trip that mean you have wiring issue on the recetpale or a conductor is touching something it should not supposed to.

To check it out make sure your generator is complety off and take the cover off and look at the wiring and see any loose connection that useally the cuprit.

and clean the area out if need to as well.

AND do not touch anything else inside the generator leave them alone.

Merci.
