Generator Interlock Question

I want to install a generator and am leaning toward an Interlock rather than a transfer switch. My main breaker is a Murray 200A MPD2200 and it is located in the garage not in the main panel.

http://www.mrsupply.com/murray-circu...brand-new.html

Does anyone know if an interlock kit is available for this setup?

I wont be doing this myself. I just want to check the price and compare to the transfer switch.

Thanks

Generator Interlock Question

Yup, the interlock is the way to go.

Murray makes a bunch of them. Check this link out: http://www.sea.siemens.com/us/intern..._Cut_Sheet.pdf

Generator Interlock Question

GE makes some. You need your model number.

Home Depot has one model: http://www.homedepot.com/buy/electri...kit-95036.html

If you cant' find one then try http://www.interlockkit.com

Good luck.
