Garage door sensor project
Im working on a project to where i am want a light to come on when a line is crossed, and go off when the beam is restored. I was thinking this could be done with garaged door sensors, but not sure how or what i would need to make it work. I do not have a garage door opener that i am doing this to, It would be a scratch build. Anybody have an ideas. Thanks

Omron
google it then find what you need at Grainger (or maybe amazon) |
Thanks. I saw those. I was hopping there was a cheaper solution. I need to have two sensors in my project and dont what to buy $300 worth of sensors.

Omron makes a gazillion different devices but so do others. None of them should cost very much. |
Ok, ill look again. The sensors i saw were anywhere from $120 to $150 each. I am needing something to shoot a beam across 6' to 8'.

This is what is saw when i was looking.
