Fun Romex pictures

These have been floating around electrical forums for awhile, I thought I would post them for anyone who has not seen them.

This is not my work.

OCPD or what?

Incorrect.

OCD vs. OCPD

OCPD shares some of the same symptoms as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), such as a general desire for order, but is a different disorder and as such should not be confused. OCD is an anxiety disorder (APA, 2000). OCPD is, as described above, a personality disorder. Most people with OCPD do not have OCD, and likewise most people with OCD do not have OCPD. The main difference is that someone with OCD is focused on particular distressing obsessions such as repeated hand-washing or abnormal fears of danger. Perfection for them is a sterile, danger-free environment. OCPD involves a more broad approach; a constant mindset of order and compulsion. The OCPD person is not distressed by his or her condition, whereas the OCD person is disturbed by his or her abnormal thoughts and actions.

Nice work!! I know that that must have taken alot of time to make it look so neat. I haven't had the opportunity to work with romex other than to provide temporary lighting for the job site. But when we do that, we don't take the time to make it look neat. We just throw it up and done. But beautiful work!!

Sunny, I did not do this work. I would have used conduit.

I edited the first post, so people would not think I installed this.

Why would you use conduit if the jurisdiction dosent enforce it( just asking)?

Yes, for the amount of circuits conduit is more effective.

May I ask if that is legal? I thought there can't be Romex within 7 feet from the floor where accessible.

(they looked like CATs to me?)

Any idea what kind of facility this was done in? It obviously isn't residential because of the number of panels. It must have been a T&M job or done with internal labor, if it was a bid project nobody would've taken that much time!

How else are you going to get it to switches, outlets, breaker panels.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
