Should not be using a foot switch on a drill press!
That's an accident waiting to happen.

I had it on my old drill press I feel it is way safer then trying to reach up and hit switch just move your foot super safe in my opinion others I know have the same setups

Wire it to the normally open contact. Once you press your foot on the pedal it closes allowing the drill to start.

That's actually how many industrial drill presses are set up. That way you can have both hands on the workpiece before starting the drill and the foot switch acts as a "deadman" to instantly turn off the drilling operation if you have a problem. Actually probably a much safer than having an on-off switch on the head of the drill press.

Ok i did that but blow breaker !!!! I'm lost this can't be this hard to wire I need power to switch then power out but what terminals to use??right now power going to switch but how to get it out to plugin??

Sounds like you connected the switch across the hot and neutral. Do not make any connection to the neutral.
The foot switch needs to be connected to the hot wire.
One option would be to connect it across the existing switch. Then either one will turn on the drill press.
The other option is to connect it in series with the existing switch. Then the foot switch won't work if the toggle switch is off. To do this you remove one wire from the existing switch and connect to one wire from the foot switch. The other wire from the foot switch connects to the point where you removed the first wire.

O.k. heres what I think I will try power with plug to gointo wall for power run cord into switch housing cut black wire put one on common terminal the other nc terminal run cord back out of housing and put female plug on cord will this work neutral just run thru houseing not attached and ground will be attached to grounding screw then out to plug ???

With that setup you will need to step on the switch to make it stop.
Use the NO (normally open) contact instead of the NC(normally closed). Otherwise should be fine.
