I had two flush mount celing fans installed by an electrician, but I noticed that they are not all the way up to the ceiling. There is a gap of about 1/4" between the ceiling and the top of the fan.
I don't want to sound picky, but shouldn't a "flush mount" celing fan be all the way up to the ceiling? I have an old house, so the ceiling heights are only 7'8", so it is pretty noticable, escpecially when the light is on (you see the shadow).
