How do you change the starter in florescent lights?

if you actually do have a fixture with a starter in it, I would be surprised as they have not been used in new fixtures for a very long time but very simply:

you twist the starter counterclockwise until it stops and then pull to remove. Here is a typical starter socket. It should held explain the action.
