fixture problem

Someone spun the glass globe on too tight and it won't unscrew. I am afraid I am going to break it if I try any harder to remove the the glass.

Any tricks of the trade to remove these globes?

Heat makes things expand, cold makes thing contract.

And no sudden cold on hot glass of course, it will crack!
