Fixture intermittently works?

I have two fixtures in my bathroom (4 bulbs each) controlled by a single switch.

I was out of town for a week and noticed the right 4 bulbs were burned out when I got home. Before I could get to the store they all came back .

This morning they went back out.

No flickering or dimming on the other half of the fixture or in the house.

Bad wiring on the fixture? It's original construction.

As in, replace the fixture?

Those setups: is the wire nut that splits the line usually near one of the fixtures or did the builder put it square behind the mirror? Just getting my oh **** expression ready.

Just remove the nuts holding the fixture to the back panel and check for a loose connection, there's a bunch of wires all coming together running from each lamp that get connected to the incoming wires. It's easy to not have a good connection there.
