fill open knockouts with cable clamps?

I just installed a new breaker box and I have some open knockouts. I have lots of extra cable clamps but no knockout filler plugs. Can I use a cable clamp and close it all the way instead of the plugs? Do you think this would be OK in an inspection?

Why don't you buy some real knockout plugs, they are dirt cheap, easy to install, and UL listed to fill knockouts.

This is the only proper, NEC approved way. Besides the ko plugs are cheaper than connectors. Save the connectors for their proper usage.

Thanks, I will buy them. They only come in expensive variety packs at my Lowes, and they didn't have any in stock. I will go to another store and find some.

Go to an electrical supply house...they should have bulk quantities...and cheaper.
