Uh, just a thought. Wouldn't the neighbor's cat be in your yard precisely BECAUSE that's where he finds all his rats?

I have not gathered the nerve to get into the crawl space yet. It took me while to get in the attic.

What can I do to help rid my fear of going into the crawl space. I already bought a cover-all.

ear plugs...

nothing freaks me out like something crawling near/in my ear... if I go in nasty place I use grab a pair of those foam plugs first. Keeps the crawlers out of there.

I think rats are attracted to orange and yellow.

As in ear plugs.

Oh brother, thanks for the heads up. Im pretty sure no light was posted before my post.

Therefore one offers advice, op posts pic utilizing advice so the post is deleted. Shifty.

To the op. You will over come your fears quickly if you get some estimates from contractors to do what you want done. Just a thought. Best wishes.

I'll take my chances.

Rats have intelligence... they see a man wriggling around down there and they're going to take a powder, unless it's rabid, but you'll see that one right away.

It's the spiders, centipedes, etc, that don't have the intelligence to know that crawling in my ear is a fatal mistake.

When you're down there you may not be able to move your arms quickly to your face either because it's too tight or you're leaning on them...

... they also had the side benefit of keeping falling crud out of your ears which will happen if you're drilling and pulling wire. Not to mention that sound does echo in enclosed spaces, hammering/drilling/etc...

The light suggestion was not the problem with your post. It was your SECOND suggestion that the moderator deleted it for. Let it go.

I still think I'd rather have rats than rattlesnakes!
