Question External lighting

I wish to install an outside light on a wall at the end of my drive. It is about 10 metres from the house. There is a wall with a hedge above it running the whole length. Is it allowable/safe to run an amoured cable above ground clipped to the wall rather than bury the electrical supply.

Could you run it in pcv on the block wall and strap it to the wall about 8 straps 1/2 pvc should be okay
