Exterior porch Lights

Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me some info. Im looking to install (2) porch type motion lights on the front of my garage on either side of the garage door. I have vinyl siding on the exterior, and I do have access to the inside walls.

Im not sure how to install the round weather proof box since the siding is already there????

I was thinking of drilling a hole in the siding, and using one of those siding mount blocks, mount the light to that, and run the wires thru to the inside, where I can use a 5 way box and make my connections there. I dont think thats the proper way to install the light, but im thinking it would work and the connections would be safe in the J box on the inside wall

Thanks in advance...

I found today that they make a siding block with an intergrated juntion box. The big box stores only have the cover with the hole. I had to go to an electricial supply store. Its designed for remodel aplication so you dont have to cut the siding.

Heres the link if anybody is looking to add a fixture on there house and there is no junction box already there.

Your question had me a little confused. Now that I see what you meant, it would have been an easy solution.
