electrolux/aerus central vac service lite


put in a central vac 3 years ago, aerus e130j, service lite came on , filter was just cleaned and vac runs fine, anyone know if its a dummy lite to bring in the unit for service no reason? or how to reset lite? thanks

electrolux/aerus central vac service lite


You need to post the schematic if you can find it but if the thing uses a microprocessor you'll very likely need the help of the manufacturer.

The service light probably works like a multiple input OR gate
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OR_gate
and the question is: "Which one or more of the OR inputs is causing the light to go on?"

Says: "SERVICE (2) The Service LED is a red light that comes on when service is required. Please call an Aerus location to perform a service check on the CentraLux (including the hose, wand and power nozzle system)."
Back of book says 5 year warranty.
