Why to the meter? It only has to be connected within 5' of where the metal water line enters the structure from underground.

Very small hydroelectric generation operation, silly. Come on John, I know you are retired but you really need to keep up on the emerging alternative energy sources being developed all the time.

electrical requirements


Some areas want a jumper at the water meter, so it easier to bring it to the meter and than jump to other side of meter. This only applies if the meter is inside the building.
