electrical question one switch one outlet one fan

hurv Newbie   Join Date: Jul 2012 Posts: 1	electrical question one switch one outlet one fan My light switch in my room turns off and on half of a outlet to plug in a light. I want to keep that the way it is. From the same light switch can I add some romex to power/turn on and off a ceiling fan.

You would need a neutral in the switch box. You would pigtail the black off the switched side of the switch. __________________ Sarcasm is my friend I'm here to learn too, i do mostly commercial/industrial/new construction and this place is a great way to pick up tips on residential from some good electrical minds.
