electrical question one switch one outlet one fan

My light switch in my room turns off and on half of a outlet to plug in a light. I want to keep that the way it is. From the same light switch can I add some romex to power/turn on and off a ceiling fan.

yes, if the wiring exists for this to be done. You would need a neutral in the switch box. You would pigtail the black off the switched side of the switch.
