Electrical Problem

Thank You All for helping me. I got all the lights to work in the kitchen. Now I have one problem. The Three-way switch that goes in the four switch box works, but the one that goes to that in living room don't work. I hate to change any in the kitchen. How do I get it to work.
Because I have the three-way switch working in the kitchen to dining where the four switch is located. because I got the travels right in the kitchen, because I have to other boxes that have two single switch that connected to it and they work also. So what is my problem?

Electrical Problem

Three way not working is usually caused by the wrong wire on the common screw. If you did not mess the other switches then the problem is in the kitchen.

Electrical Problem

Was the first switch a 4way? Why is the red spliced to the white? How many total hot wires are in the box? It looks like a white wire was cut from the splice, why? What is the wire with the white tape?

Electrical Problem

guys i thought i had it solve but i'm still having problems with the three way switch. I'm tired of fooling with it. The only reason I'm doing it because my husband been out sick and money tight.I can't afford someone to come in. so I keep trying to get it to work. I figure out each light and fan wire, and common wire. But the I can't figure out the travel wire when i get to the third switch and thats the dining room light. what happens when i connect the dining room light the fan light operates it also. so i cant get pass that.
Please help me again!
My husband only one able to work. I'm disable. That reason why we can't afford a electoral person.

Liz

ps. I put the picture from photo bucket.

Click on the little upside down envelope looking icon and put the link to your picture in the box. The picture will then show up here.

White tape is on the one because it went on all the three switches after first one for the ceiling fan light and I only have one hot wire from the panel.

No the first one was a three- way and the hot wire was on the second one and they had a piece of wire that went to that the first one stuck in the hole where the common screw is on the switch.
