Electrical Outlets

I am dividing my basement to make a small family room. I want to run a new circuit to the breaker box. should I use 14/2 or 12/2 wiring and what kind of outlets should i install. going to run 4 outlets only, no lights or switches, they are allready installed. running a tv and a couple of lights. no heavy loads.

Electrical Outlets

Running 14/2 will allow for a 15 amp breaker. 12/2 a 20 amp breaker. I would run at least two cables even if you only use one. That way it will be present should you require more power.
Some like to put entertainment systems (TV's) on their own circuit. You may want to consider this.
