electrical cord rewinders (like the ones in vacuum cleaners)

Hi, I thought maybe someone could tell me where to get a cord rewinder. I'm a barber and use several types of clippers. I'm always tripping on the cords and shorting them out. I thought it would be a good idea to buy a rewinder for each clipper.
I want one that is automatic or spring loaded. I've been searching on the net and can only find crank rewinders for extension cords. Any help would be appreciated.

Slim, Did a little google-ing and found the following hint, "You can rip the cord retractor mechanism out of an old vacuum cleaner and repurpose that, depending on how much cord you need available. They're good for about 30 feet or so." or check online for these parts, then assemble them yourself. Here's something from a patent company. Somebody's one step ahead. Don't know where/if it's available yet... http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/6969275.html
good luck, pete

I remember a barber shop when I was young and the barber had small pulleys mounted on the walls and fish line connected to the cord on one end and a lead anchor attached that kept the cords pulled up ou of the way.
Might work for you.

Watch out for the spring in these rewinders; they can store a lot of energy, which can be suddenly released.
Wear face protection if you disassemble these things.

Grainger has cord reels. They are the kind that hang from the ceiling or other suitable place to attach a hook. Might be a bit to cumbersome for a barber shop though. Look in Graingers web site and search cord reels.

Thanks guys. I'll check out the sites and I will be careful when I assemble everything. I'm still months away, because I'm building the barber stations to house everything first. When I get them done, I'll post up some pics.
