Electrical code re DIY
I live in a 3 unit condo in Boston area. Where can find rules governing what I am allowed to do versus getting a licensed electrician or when do I need city permits. Can I, for example, change an outlet to GFI in our common area?
Thanks. Diyexel |
I would contact the condo association first if you have one. If that's not an option call the building department for your town or city.

Common areas probably do not qualify for DIY status. You need a permit to spit on the sidewalk in most areas in New England ... :whistling2:
