Electrical circuit

4 outlets in one room just quit at the same time, 2 outlets each on 2 different fuses (after 16 yrs of no problems). One of the circuits includes a ceiling light which works. A voltage tester shows there IS power to all the outlets. I changed all the outlets to new but no joy.
A tester shows one circuit has one good outlet & one hot ground reverse outlet (the circuit w/ the working ceiling light). The other circuit gives no reading from either outlet (but voltage tester says there's power). Any ideas???

Check out the still working outlets right next to these.

You have mosy likely lost the neutral side,
to that circuit/branch.
That would explain the hot reading.

Open neutral. All your readings are telling the neutral wire is open. Check the working devices on the circuit as well as the dead ones and the switches.
