electrical box

I have a box with 2 switches, one control 1 lamp, the other 4 lamps.

Out from the wall are 4 cables, cable 1 goes to switch 1 cable 2 goes to switch 2 and cables 3 & 4 are tapped together with the ones coming out from switches
1 & 2 ( all are black! ), The 4 white cables are tapped together.
I bought a single switch to turn the 4 lamps independently, how can i do it????
The new switch has 4 gold screws, 2 on each side and 1 black on the sided bottom, plus the green ground on top. Thank you in advance, hope you can understand. Archi

Really need a drawing or picture, due to hard to visualize. Do not need to know what color goes to what screw, just need to know which is power, and which goes to what light in the drawing. As for your post, are you asking a question regarding how it should be wired, or are you just telling everyone what you found out, when you took the wall plate off.

Just draw it out in Paint. That is the easiest way to do it. Post a picture also of what the junction box wiring looks like currently.
