electrical assistance needed

Hello, I am a new member here I am hoping someone might be able to assist me with an electrical problem. I can't seem to figure it out. my friends lights in his house flicker periodically I'm not sure if it is all of them but I think so, if not all than most of the house. I went over and checked the panel for a loose neutral figuring this was the problem but it wasn't. also a few times the power went out in all but two bedrooms, but no breakers were tripped. I turned off the main breaker and then turned it back on and the power was restored. could this be the main breaker causing this? or is it something to do with the service cables coming into the house? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

electrical assistance needed

Sounds like a loose connection on one of the power wires feeding the house. Could be any of the connections between the main breaker and the transformer out on the pole. Call the POCO and have them come and check the connections at the pole, at the weather head, and in the meter can.
