Electric Wall Heater Shield

Is there such a thing as a shield for electric wall heaters? I believe it's a CRA, rectangular shape & sets in the wall. The heat blows directly out. The problem is the way my apartment living room is constructed/laid out, there's no place to put the furniture where at least one piece is not directly in front of this heater, unless the furniture is placed in the middle of the living room floor, then it would create a problem getting around & it will all look quite stupid.
