Electric Fireplace?

Thinking about purchasing one of the freestanding units/media centers from Lowes as a way to keep the chill out of the air during winter. I have all electric in my house but I figured if the fireplace could keep just room a little warmer it would keep my furnace from coming on as much and avoid $300+ electric bills in the winter. I am not expecting miracles but just wanted to see how much juice these do pull? Thx. Mike

LOL, JUICE.. my ole electrical instructor used to go all nuts on anyone saying the word JUICE lol

The Few I had to deal with were 750W on low settings and 1500 on max settings. It should be put on a dedicated line.

What FYE said.
Max will be 1500 watts and that is 12.5 amps.

Remember watts is watts!
