Can I run 50 amps 120v on a double pole 30 amp breaker? What gauge wire for 35 feet of run? # 10 or # 8?

You need to be a bit more clear about what you are looking to do. What do you mean run "running 50 amps on a 30 amp breaker"? Second, why would you want to run a 120V load on a 2-pole breaker?

What's your purpose? Once we get that cleared up, we can talk about wiring methods and wire size.
