Eaton Standby Generators?

Is this a good brand? Specifically a EGEN8.

Guy came out today. He has a EGEN8 that was installed for one week but the buyer ungraded to one 6x as big without ever using it; it has the Mfg 3 year warranty from when it is is installed at my house. Not being able to resist a bargain (25% off), I grabbed it; and now have buyers remorse for acting too fast.

So, is a Eaton ENG8 okay?
Is $4,700 for a 8kw generator okay?

The only other quote I had was $6,000 for an 8kw Generac; so this seems like a good price.

I didn't get very far because the Generac dealer said I couldn't put it in the side yard because the lot wasn't big enough. The Eaton dealer said that the Generac dealer didn't realize what town I lived in and I have plenty of room.

IMO, depending on how far from the service it is, $6k is pretty high for an 8kW unit. Did that include the gas work?

Yes, it includes the gas work.

The Eaton does closely resemble the Generac; maybe they are the same. The Generac says it has a Generac motor; the Eaton says it has a Briggs and Stratton. Is that a difference, or is Generac putting their name on theirs?
I read the details and they are identical.
