Dusk to dawn sensor

I recently put an outside light on my detached garage and would like to put in dusk to dawn sensor that goes between the bulb and socket so I have light when I need it, and am not tripping to the garage to turn on the light in the dark. Any recommendations on a good sensor that will work well with a 10 watt cfl. I don't mind paying a good price if it is worth the money. Thanks.

Dusk to dawn sensor

Just get one that says it's ok to use with a CFL - some of the cheaper ones are not. And make sure the eye is facing the sun, otherwise the thing may stay on all the time.

Make sure you double check the screw in photocéll if they can work with CFL bulb{s} you can able tell it during off mode if the CFL flicker or kinda soft glow then it will ruin the CFL bulb.

secutanudu.,

Normally for all the photocells I deal with it 90% of the time they will point to North not the South the reason why due some photocells it can get damaged from very strong sunlight.

The only time I will get it in non normal postion if the photocell blocking the view or reflecton from the bulbs then do the adustment if necessary.

Merci,
Marc
