Dryer Cable Numbers
Trying to install a dryer receptacle, dryer cable's wire are numbered 1,2,3 & 4 not coloured. I'm thinking #1 would be the black wire, #2 would be the red wire, #3 would be the white wire and #4 would be the ground. Any info would be great.

Dryer Cable Numbers
I have never seen dryer cables numbered. You are going to have to refer to the dryer manual to confirm what each wire is.

Dryer Cable Numbers
Thanks Joed, I'm not very good at explaining myself. I was trying to hook up the 220? cable from the electrical box to hook up to a new dryer. My old dryer hookup was wired straight to the dryer (no dryer plug/receptacle) and this wire only had numbers on it. I did install a new receptacle & wired everything up the way I thought, plugged it in. Have dryed a few loads already with no problems. thanks again for your input.
